Energy Audits South Main
If you own a home in South Main and you’re concerned about high electric, gas, and BC hydro bills, Energy Werx is here to make your life easier. We can help reduce your energy expenses while going green at the same time. There are rebates in the energy sector that more than likely pertain to you. Our job is to find those rebates for you. The BC Government rolled out a program in 2017 that would provide rebates to any BC homeowner. If you’re not sure if your home is eligible and would like to know, please contact us and we’ll do an assessment of the property. If it’s eligible, we can provide rebates/a service plan that includes upgrades, findings and more.
Contact the team today and a qualified energy auditor will prepare a detailed evaluation of your home’s energy efficiency. He/she will provide an inspection and present which of the many different audits you might qualify for, based on your needs. After the inspection, we will also offer an energy advice guide, which will suggest projects to try after the efficiency energy audit is complete. Methods our auditors use to find rebates include (but are not limited to): infrared cameras, checks for air leaks and blower door tests. Our help doesn’t stop there, however. After the first energy review, we will be on call to answer any questions you may have. Our auditor will also follow-up with a final energy assessment.
For many years, our team at Energy Werx has helped our customers make their homes more energy efficient and sustainable. Our goal is to help make British Columbia a more energy efficient province. Our contribution to that goal is making home improvements and an environmentally friendly lifestyle more affordable for BC residents. Homes evaluated by Energy Werx will be given a wide variety of EnerGuide energy efficient resources and upgrades to choose from. Some of these upgrades include insulation upgrades, air sealing improvements, window, door and/or skylight replacements and furnace or boiler replacements, just to name a few.
South Main
Just south-east of the downtown peninsula, South Main refers to the stretch of Main between East 2nd and East 33rd Avenues but the neighbourhood, taking in the mainly residential streets on either side, is actually called Mount Pleasant. For a long time, this area was considered to be the “wrong side of the tracks” but with the hipsters moving in and opening galleries, breweries and boutiques, this is now Vancouver’s answer to New York’s Brooklyn.
South Main (sometimes called “SoMa,” the parts of Main Street south of 2nd Avenue or so) is rapidly becoming the new bohemian neighbourhood of designer boutiques, Asian religious item stores, and coffee shops. Many local designers have boutiques on Main between Broadway (the equivalent of 9th Ave) south to about 29th Ave where you can buy cutting-edge and handmade clothing for reasonable prices.
